On Friday, the 8th of June -at 6pm -there was a 1st kick in Warsaw! UEFA EURO2012 Football Cup co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine started. For nearly 1 month there are 16 best European football national teams playing on 4 stadiums in Poland (Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw) and 4 stadiums in Ukraine.
The opening match was between Poland and Greece. I didn’t have the chance to watch that match in the National Stadium in Warsaw with other 60 thousands fans, but I was watching the game with more than 120 thousands! (mainly) Polish people in the very center of Warsaw -in Euro Fan Zone. The psychology of masses is amazing, so emotions were high, and the atmosphere was amazing!
When the 1st goal in Euro2012 Cup was for Poland -thousands of Polish supporters in Warsaw Fan Zone went crazy, very excited I filmed the reaction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9e6WFPnZRI
And thousands of Polish people with their faces painted red and white and dressed in Polish white-red cloth -were dancing all together during the break of the match: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9e6WFPnZRI
The atmosphere was amazing. a pity that the Poland-Greece match ended with 1:1
